Altice USA Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with Annual Student Essay Contest

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Altice USA is proud to announce its annual essay contest for middle and high school students across its Optimum and Suddenlink service areas. This year students are asked to “Name a Latino, past or present, who has inspired you to dream big” in 500 words or less for the chance to win a scholarship or other prizes.

Altice USA is proud to recognize and celebrate the diverse histories, cultures and contributions of generations of Hispanic-Americans through programming options, partnerships with Latino celebrities or supporting local Hispanic organizations and communities across the U.S. through its community initiative Altice Connects.

  • Essays must be 500 words or less and must answer the prompt: Name a Latino, past or present, who inspires you to dream big and explain why. Essays must be written in English, typed and double spaced.
  • Students can fill out the online entry form and attach their essays OR click here for a printable copy to submit by mail.
  • The grand prize includes a $1,500 scholarship and three finalists will win an iPad. Separate prizes will be awarded for middle and high school categories in both Suddenlink and Optimum service areas.
