Optimum, News 12 and Warner Bros. Discovery Join Forces to Support Local Communities This Back-to-School Season
To help prepare students for the upcoming school year, backpacks filled with school supplies are being distributed to communities in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut
Optimum, the provider of advanced internet, mobile, TV, and phone services, News 12, the preeminent hyperlocal news source across the tri-state area, and Warner Bros. Discovery are partnering together for a third year to host back-to-school backpack programs to support local communities across the New York Tri-State area, including Bronx and Brooklyn, New York, Newark, New Jersey, Stamford, Connecticut, and more. This back-to-school season, Optimum, News 12, and Warner Bros. Discovery will distribute thousands of backpacks to students between the ages of five and 18 to help ensure they have the tools they need for a successful school year.
With the support of additional local community and nonprofit organizations, the events will not only feature free backpacks filled with school supplies, but also include fun activities, music, refreshments, and more to celebrate with residents of these communities.

- North Babylon High School on Long Island
- Cradle of Aviation Museum on Long Island
